Philadelphia Suburb based, Head Information Technology for our A&D Division of a $14B Electronics Manufacturer 

What has your journey to your position been like? What path have you taken?

Management consulting for a Big 4 Company out of University, Various roles across functions both within IT and in the business (Supply Chain, Procurement) - perhaps NOT your traditional CIO path :

Has it always been your vision to reach the position you’re at? Was your current role part of your vision to become a tech leader?

Absolutely - have always been extremely passionate about the proper use and adoption of technology, and fantastic to get to share my vision and passion on a broader stage

Have you had a role model or mentor that has helped you on your journey?

Yes - one of my first advisors in my early management consultant days started me on the path of really learning the ins/outs of business management and supply chain fundamentals.

How do you see the role of the technology leader evolving over the next 5 years?

Much heavier focus on AI/automation 

What skills do you think leaders of the future will need in order to thrive?

Extremely high levels of emotional intelligence/relatability coupled with the pursuit of business transformation in the AI space across all functions. 

How do you keep current with new skills, technologies and personal development?

Reading, podcasts, Linked In Articles, Conferences

What do you see as the next leap in technology that will impact your business or industry in particular?

IoT - Manufacturing at a larger scale 

"INever give up people"

If you were mentoring a leader of the future, what advice or guidance would you give to help them on their way?

Never give up - there is not always a single direct path to where you want to go.

Is there anything in particular that you would still like to achieve in your career or what is the next step on your journey?

Yes - own my own business after one more decade in IT  would it be?
